See what the main advantages and features of MANTICORE are:
Intuitive control: MANTICORE has intuitive control that makes the power of cutting-edge technology accessible to everyone. Its large color screen and user experience are the most intuitive ever found in a metal detector. This means that even novice users can make the most of MANTICORE’s advanced performance, exploring its features easily and efficiently.
Waterproofing: MANTICORE is built with unparalleled waterproofing and robust construction. With an IP68 rating, it can be submerged in water up to 5 meters (16 feet), allowing for underwater exploration. Therefore, no terrain is off limits for the MANTICORE, providing the ability to find hidden targets that other detectors cannot reach. Plus, its water resistance makes it an ideal choice for exploring rivers, lakes, beaches and other underwater areas in search of exciting discoveries.
Boosted EMI Immunity:MANTICORE has enhanced EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) immunity, which means that even in challenging environmental conditions, it is possible to operate at a higher sensitivity, isolating target information. This way, regardless of the storms outside, inside the MANTICORE the environment remains silent and calm, allowing accurate and reliable detection.
Lighting and vibration: MANTICORE offers lighting and vibration features that allow your search to continue even after dark. With the Control Pod flashlight, automatic backlighting of the display and keyboard, and vibration in the grip, you can continue your detections long after the sun has set, ensuring a convenient and efficient detection experience.
Audio your way: MANTICORE offers personalized audio control, allowing you to hear target information the way you prefer. With advanced audio controls such as customizable target tones, electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression, and continuous pitch audio (VCO) with ferrous tones and genuine detection threshold, you can tailor the sound of targets to your preferences. This unique target tone setting divides the target identification range into zones, allowing you to adjust the width, sound, and volume of each area to highlight or minimize the presence of targets during your detections.
Ultimate Search Mode: MANTICORE offers a definitive search mode with 10 customizable options. This variety allows you to tailor the MANTICORE settings to the type of terrain and specific target you are looking for.
Enhanced Discrimination: The MANTICORE features enhanced discrimination, increased Target Identification stability, and enhanced separation from nearby targets. With customizable ferrous thresholds, it offers unprecedented control to accept ferrous coins, reject complex ferrous targets, and fine-tune iron target unmasking, resulting in accurate and selective detection.
Quick Response: MANTICORE offers exceptional target separation performance, allowing you to find desired objects even in the midst of ferrous debris, outperforming other detectors on the market. Plus, it’s lightweight and compact, weighing just 1.3 kg (2.9 lb) and with an extended length of 1440 mm (56.7 inches) and a foldable length of 630 mm (24.8 inches).
- What is the difference between Multi-IQ and Multi-IQ+?
Multi-IQ+ takes Multi-IQ to the next level. The Multi-IQ+ and MANTICORE include a higher power transmitter, higher power processing to separate targets, and a higher power display for new two-dimensional views of targets.
- What are the search modes of MANTICORE metal detectors?
MANTICORE offers 10 customizable search modes, including All-Terrain (for indoor detection), Beach (for sand, surf and coastal areas) and Goldfield (for gold nugget detection). Therefore, it can detect in a variety of terrains, including indoor environments, beaches and areas with the presence of gold.
- What is the performance difference between MANTICORE and EQUINOX?
The MANTICORE has greater power than the EQUINOX, giving the MANTICORE greater depth, processing power to separate targets and provide a two-dimensional view of the target. In less mineralized terrain and on the beach, MANTICORE will obviously be significantly deeper. MANTICORE will identify ferrous targets among nearby targets with greater accuracy. Target IDs will show more stability across the entire detection width of a target. MANTICORE has a 2D identification map to help identify targets. MANTICORE is lighter than EQUINOX, with improved balance.
- How do target IDs in MANTICORE relate to those in EQUINOX?
MANTICORE target IDs are different from those displayed by EQUINOX. The MANTICORE uses a wider range of positive and conductive IDs from 0 to 99 rather than the EQUINOX’s 0 to 40. Negative ferrous IDs are not used by the MANTICORE. MANTICORE will display ferrous targets with a conductive target ID, as well as display targets with stronger ferrous properties further from the centerline. Marginal ferrous targets will have greater ID stability with MANTICORE because the ID does not switch between ferrous (negative) and conductive (positive) IDs. MANTICORE’s mid-driver target IDs are further away than low or tall drivers. for example, where EQUINOX would display 16 for two different targets, MANTICORE would display target IDs of 40 and 42.
- Why are there no ferrous target ID numbers?
When using MANTICORE, most of the information is in the conductive target ID that is presented. There is no need to numerically identify a ferrous ID. Ferrous boundaries are used to identify a target as ferrous or non-ferrous, or if not used, the greater the distance from the centerline, the more likely the target is ferrous. A numerical ferrous ID does not offer a significant advantage in positively identifying a target. When defining ferrous limits, a numerical value is available to aid repeatability in defining these limits.
- What determines whether ferrous targets appear above or below the center line?
Different categories of ferrous targets will appear on either side of the center line, although this is just a general rule. Smaller ferrous targets will more commonly appear above the centerline, while larger, flatter ferrous targets will appear below the centerline.
- What is the difference between Ferrous Limits and Discrimination?
Both the ferrous boundaries and the discrimination map are visualized on the identification map. A discrimination map is used to ‘hide’ targets with certain target IDs or ID ranges, for example ring pulls. The Discrimination map only applies to Target ID, regardless of ferrous determination. Ferrous boundaries are mainly used to identify the boundaries between ferrous and non-ferrous targets. Some regions have coins made from ferrous materials that could be easily hidden if all ferrous targets were hidden. The Ferrous Limits function can be used to open a small window and thus allow ferrous coins to not be masked as ferrous targets.
- Can I use ML80 or ML100 headphones?
No, MANTICORE uses a proprietary low-latency wireless technology. The ML80 or ML100 headphones and all previous Bluetooth headphones are not supported.
- How many search modes are there? What is the difference between them?
There are 10 different search modes: General Off-Road – Similar to Park 1 in Equinox. This mode offers good overall performance. Fast off-road – Similar to Park 1 on the Equinox. This mode has a faster recovery speed for better target separation. Low conductivity all-terrain – Similar to Park 2 on Equinox. This mode has higher ferrous limits to optimize detection on low conduction targets. All-terrain high conductivity – Similar to Park 1 at Equinox. This mode has lower ferrous limits to optimize detection on high conduction targets. All-terrain trash rejection – Similar to Park 1 at Equinox. This mode has a higher recovery speed and highly conservative ferrous limits for better bottle top and trash rejection. General Beach – Similar to Beach 1 at Equinox. This mode is used for general detection in dry sand. Low conductivity beach – Similar to Beach 1 at Equinox. This mode has a slower recovery speed and aggressive salt sensitivity to optimize detection on low conduction targets. Deep Beach – Similar to Beach 1 in Equinox. This mode has a slower recovery speed and continuous pitch audio to provide excellent detection depth. Beach surf and sea water – Similar to Beach 2 at Equinox. Used for general underwater detection on the beach or in wet sand. Goldfield General – Similar to Gold 1 in Equinox. This mode will provide better overall performance on gold nuggets.
